Institute for Systems Medicine Names Amy Johnson as Director for Strategic Partnerships

Spokane, WA – The Institute for Systems Medicine (ISM) has named Amy Johnson to the position of Director for Strategic Partnerships. In that role, she will support
the development of the three lines of ISM business through stakeholder communication, developing relationships with legislators and government officials, and
developing financial support from public and private resources. The three lines of business include: the Spokane Community Clinical Data Repository, the Spokane
Bio-specimen Repository and the Evidence Based Practice tool for assisting medical researchers and health care practitioners.
"We are very pleased that Amy has joined our organization. Her extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of policy advocacy, research, analysis, and
development as well as non-profit management will be great assets to us," said Tom Paine, Chairman of the ISM board.
Prior to joining ISM, Amy was the Vice President for Public Policy and Workforce Development for Greater Spokane Incorporated. She also conducted policy analysis
for PREMERA Blue Cross, the Washington State Workforce Board Health Care Personnel Shortage Task Force and the Washington State Senate Health and Long Term Care
Committee. Amy has also taught graduate health policy courses at Washington State University Spokane.
Amy holds a law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, a graduate degree in Health Policy and Administration from Washington State University Spokane, a B.A.
in Philosophy from the University of Colorado and a B.A. in Government and History from California State University Sacramento.
